So I think I'm a bad person.
So, I rather dislike X-Men. But I wanted to see a movie, and Co & Jing wanted to see the new one, so I was happy to go.
The writing was pretty good, and couple of the characters were well rounded.
Oh, and, Kevin Bacon.
Though, the real highlight of my 2 hours and 11 minutes was excited anticipation of Xavier’s being crippled. I wasn’t even sure they would show him getting crippled in this one, but everytime he got injured or put himself in harm’s way, I jumped to the edge of my seat in excitement.
Or when he was racing the nerdy-I’m-going-to-go-furry-steroids-later kid, I just kept thinking, “Lol enjoy that while you can. Y’know. Running.”
When the plane flipped and Magnido landed on Xavier, I was all, “THIS IS IT.”
But it wasn’t. And sorta resigned to what I thought was fact that he just wasn’t going to get crippled this time around.
So when that bullet went into his spine, I had a conniption fit.
I was trying. So. Hard. To not fill the theatre with my hysterical, inappropriate laughter. I thought my lungs were going to explode, and about peed myself laughing so hard and trying to keep it quiet.
And then, Coey pointed out the painted handicap sign on the ground in parking lot.
I think this movie made my month.
