Incase you didn’t know, Amanda Abbington (Martin Freeman’s amazing partner) has been threaten and treated to a lot of hurtful, hateful messages over the past couple of days, to due to the fact she is playing Mary in the Sherlock series. This, my fellow Sherlock fandom, is not okay AT ALL.

Do not hate her for playing Mary because you believe that it threatens the existence of Johnlock. If you had read the books, you would know this is false. At the end, Mary dies and John goes to live with Sherlock on a bee farm. 

No matter what, treating Amanda Abbington this way about her role in Sherlock, is not okay at all. So, Sherlock fandom, I believe that we need to come together and show Amanda some support. I urge you all to take photos of yourselves holding the “I support Amanda Abbington playing Mary in Sherlock!” like I have done above. (Even if you are a Johnlock shipper, like me.) Let’s show Amanda, along with the rest of the Sherlock cast and crew, what fandom really means. Family.

It’s absurd people are getting so defensive over a pairing that isn’t even canon, in neither the original stories or the show. If you’re a Johnlock shipper, that’s all good and well and there’s nothing wrong with that, but a story doesn’t have to bend itself to legitimize your fandom niche. Especially if it’s an adaptation trying to remain faithful to the canonical writing in its own way/style.
I don’t want to even elaborate how ridiculous it is to harass the actor of the character you’re adverse to. They are an actor, it’s their job to portray that person, if they didn’t someone else would have instead, and they have little if any input on what happens story-wise.

(PS- Additionally, while appreciating the sentiment of the OP, it seems pretty debasing to John’s character for you to be okay with Mary’s appearance in the show because, “it’s okay, she dies in the end and he goes back to Sherlock.” If John falls in love with a woman in the show, as he did in the stories, it doesn’t mean you have to nix your preferred pairing, it only means it’s not canon.)
(PSS- I question why I even bother to add/respond to these sorta of fandom tensions anymore, though in the end it boils down to how I love this show despite all its (many) faults, but a large portion of this fandom alienates me by their behaviour, both within the community and the offensive things that have happened to me personally.)

We do these random 6-print Sherlock grab bags at cons, and they sell so well we thought might as well sell a variation of them online. These Sherlock print bags have every finalized Sherlock piece from both me and Coey; 9 prints from each of us, 18 in total.
I get a lot of emails from people saying they would love to buy all our Sherlock art, but can’t afford all of it, of course, because larger prints are $10+ each. So, with these 5 x 7 inch prints, we can sell all our Sherlock prints for cheap!

Sherlock watched the doctor faze out after his final string of words. John was a dweller, worrier. Sherlock was clearly alive before him, but he still seemed burdened by the idea that he had been dead. “Well, you’ve made your decision now- you can be yourself, again.” It wouldn’t be that easy, though Sherlock wouldn’t understand. “And it is a foolish decision, but you’ve tied my hands and I’ve nothing left but to accept it, even if bitterly. Your stubbornness might kill you alongside me, but-” he sighed, though it sounded more of relief than anger, “-we’ll just have to share a coffin, I suppose.”

Marisa wanted one of her crow, Breakspire, with Sherlock’s scarf. Was probably my favorite commission I did that weekend, for the subject matter and the end result. lol

Something stupid I’ve been working on in bits for ‘bout a year. Characters (canon and original) from my and husbando’s Sherlock RP.

Pretty much divided into “the good guys” and “the bad guys”.
Parker and Will, two of S/J’s clients who became rather regular characters. BlueBell- they kept her in our RP lololol. Irene and her wife, Eliza, because we completely re-wrote all the stuff with Irene and made it not stupid.
Jim and his most-trusted operatives (Seb/sniper, Rabbit/handyman, Archer/assassin, Noble/intelligence expert).

I’ve been having a rough year.
When my Pop died, it sort of broke my brain and the anxiety that lingered afterward has been popping up again this year.
When my head’s a mess, I’m practically crippled. I can’t think, I don’t understand things. Nothing makes sense when I’m like that, so I don’t make sense, either. I feel blind.

Coey’s my safe place. I’m able to be exposed and raw in front of him unlike anyone I’ve ever had before. As much as I care for all the important people in my life, I don’t have it in me to be so open with more than one. I’m just not that sort of person.
Co’s dealt with so much bullshit from me. But no matter how much of a handful I am- no matter how irritating my habits, how abrasive I get, or how much he compensates for my social dysfunctions -at the end of the day, Coey’s still here.
When I get my worst, I always think, “I’ve surely driven him away, this time.” But then he’ll still waiting for me when I come to bed, still wakes me up every morning with a kiss and smile. Shows me things are alright.

No one else could sort through the mess in my head, help me put things back in their place. No one else knows that part of me, or how I work.
He untangles my brain.

There’s no way to show him how grateful I am. It’s all so weighty in my mind and I just can’t get it out. I may have thanked him a thousand times but it hasn’t given me a shred of relief. How can you tell your fit how much it all means to you, especially from a difficult person like me?

So, I poured myself into this. It’s not much, it’s not even anything polished or final. But I made it in hopes the effort might help show you how grateful I am. And show everyone who sees this the same. You mean so much to me that I want everyone to know it. And know how good you are to me. But especially you- I want you to know how amazing you are, and how no one else would do.

First THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT SENT CONGRATULATIONS ABOUT MY AND CO GETTING MARRIED, there’s too many to reply to. <3

@Anon1: They’re actually from two separate RP’s I have, one with my husband and another with my bro. The one with Co isn’t anywhere public- just emails back and forth. The other, with Kenzie, is up on an RP forum, but it’s sort of a hard site to obtain membership to sooo. Not really, sry lol

@Anon2: I don’t ship them, no. I don’t mind the ship, but I much prefer them as friends, think it says more about their relationship that way.
Though, one thing that’s difficult at times; preferring platonic Sherly/Jawn when my husband is the John to my Sherlock. : |

@Anon4: ONE DAY. I’m sort of going through a fanart streak right now WHICH IS REALLY WEIRD FOR ME I typically do practically no fanart. Ever. But I have two other Sherlock pieces I want to get out of my head, then the Colossus collab with Coey, and possibly finally finishing that Big Daddy drawing. IDK WE’LL SEE. I’ll get back to original stuff before long. I don’t have faith this streak will last much longer lol

@rapturous-danger: I use PhotoShop to resize, add borders, etcetc. Make everything presentable. There’s lots of programmes you can use to do many of these basic edits, but I’m really ignorant of anything outside of PS. : |
