Q: Is your tumblr for art or is it a personal blog as well?
A: This one is just for art/stuff related to my art.

Q: How often do you post art?
A: I’m really inconsistent. I’ll post a lot at times, and then go a couple weeks between posts. It just depends what I’m up to art-wise.

Q: Do you post your drawing process or only finished works?
A: Everything. I originally only posted in-process drawings, but the finals have been ending up here too, heh.

Q: What types of mediums do you use?
A: Pretty much just pencil and PhotoShop. I use marker and ink occasionally, buuuutttt not terribly often. I really only enjoy the *drawing* bit, so I don’t do much outside that.

Q: Describe your art style.
A: Oh, dear. Um. “Gritty”, I suppose. Half my stuff is “pretty”/cutesy fairy tale crap, then the other half is sort of visceral gore and gratuitous violence, but most of it comes off rather “grainy” because of the mediums/techniques I use.

Recently, I have been struggling quite a bit. I’ve hit a particularly tough art block, and to help, Coey’s been giving me homework sorts of things. For these, I had to take an item we have laying about the house (Daleks are common in this house okay?), break it down into its visual shapes and do compositional studies using them.

Normally I wouldn’t post dumb, abstract practice shit like this, but I get a lot of questions about if I ever have to practice, or still have technical struggles with art/figure draw/etcetc. Often times I wonder if artists I’d looked up to when I was young (and even now) had been more open with showing these sorts of things- shown their struggles n all, yknow that they’re human -maybe I would have been less of a basketcase when being my own drill sergent. SO FOR EVERYONE THAT WANTS TO ASK, yes. I have struggles at times, as well.
